Ya! I can't stand change! But, but, but... Today, today, today... everything is back to nuh-nuh-nuh-normal. (((yAy))) psp.x2 opened with no permission whatchacall and and and > I can drag/drop images into it like normal. I haven't tried 'open with' yet, but I'm sure it's fine too! HA! (((lil-danse))) "Back in business!" HaHa! (I didn't even try the free trial of x9, but was going to cos it seemed that solved you all's problem<s>)
I did, however, watch Corel's "x9 Edit Workspace" video at http://youtube.com/watch?v=IySnK11YYOA and it looks to be extremely similar to my beloved x2. Now that things are back to normal, I think I will resume my current state. But I might try out the new x9 soon! (new *is* good) [that would NOT be funny if this was all a promo-glitch]
The best thing out of this, however, is; I discovered this forum! (((yAy))) I finally belong to something I tend to have questions for!
[Happy Camper Now] Problem solved itself.
Thank you ALL for existing! 8)

I heard today that it was a Dropbox update that caused the problem with PSP on Win 7 systems. They have since updated again to fix the problem, so perhaps those here that were having issues and have Dropbox, then that was the cause.
Here is the link for Dropbox forum

Great detective work, thank you patara. I too use Drop Box and notice my 'new' version is 8.4.21 installed on 8/23. Could just be a time difference thing but my X9 began working late on the 22nd. My wife's Win 10 PC doesn't have Drop Box installed which is probably why hers was not affected.

Yes! Quite a detective! Thank you patara! I, too, have dropbox. Not sure which version as it only opens explorer. But I'm mostly back to normal anyway.
Looking at that forum, I don't feel as old with psp x2 > Gawsh! *THEY* are still using psp9 with no 'X'! I still have psp7 (haven't used for 8 years) which came with animationshop 3 but have moved on since the release of pspx2. (But I still use AS3)
DaleM wrote:Posted: Fri Aug 19, 2016 5:12 pm: Up until this morning I could open the program with no issues and could right click any .jpg file and "open with Paint Shop Pro X2." Suddenly the program stopped opening in either case.
DaleM: I finally tried the right-click-open-with psp and that does not work still. However, pspx2 opened on that command, but failed to import the image.
Drag/drop still works tho. I never really opended images your way. The only way I've ever really done it is drag/drop. I have dual monitors: Explorer in the left. pspx2 in the right.

Yesssssssssss! Imma die-hard pspx2 user!
Corel  If you want to make money off me, gimme some pspx2 plugins that have greatness! (I'm not sold on x9)
Heck! I'd fersher take a modern animated gif maker! (GIF suggestions anyone?) :?:
