*** Ulead Videostudio 9 Patch

Post by THoff »

I just replied to another thread saying that there is no general patch for UVS V9 yet, and moments later found that the first patch has appeared on the Ulead website:

http://www.ulead.com/tech/vs/vs_ftp.htm
Enhancement:

DVD-R Dual layer support
Bugs fixed:

Fixed problem when rotating and reversing a Ulead Cool3D file on a Windows 98 SE system.
Fixed “memory insufficient” problem when adding video filters and customizing.
Fixed a problem when using Fit to Background Music and Auto Analyze Video Content when user imports MPEG4 file.
Fixed DVD player problem after installing VideoStudio 9.
Fixed behavior problem when inserting a 720*480 avi to be the first video on the timeline.

Hi, just wondering for those who have applied the update -- did your About version number for VS9 change :?:

George, I applied the patch and like Gary said it did not change the version number, which I thought was strange. But it did change the picture that shows on the about page. Pre patch was a red and while fram, post patch is white and blue. At least there is something different to be able to determine if the patch was installed. Plus I saw a huge difference in the load time.

computer locks up when applying video filter

Post by Rob2s »

Anyone have any idea why when I apply a video filter or some other advanced effect such as masking one video over another, I can add the effect, however, my computer locks up during playback. I have dowloaded the lastest patch which supposedly corrects the memory problem with video filters.
My PC has a 2.3GB Celeron CPU, 1GB RAM, NVIDIA 256MB video card, I also use one hard drive to run the software, and one to store my videos on. I have also run EndItAll2 to shut down background tasks.
I have Video 8 & the VS9 Upgrade and I have this problem in both versions. I would appreciate any help with this since I have done everything that I have read so far. Thanks!

Applied the patch and the only way I could tell if there was a version change was with the About page. Version 9.00.1000

There was no version number change with my ESD version of UVS 9. The only indication that anything is different is the fact that the splash screen is now blue.

Well come to think of it that's correct. The version 9.00.1 didn't change. Just the splash screen.

So we d/l a 20mb jpeg huh  (just kidding)

Thanks a lot for this patch which resolved most of the instability problems that I encountered with VS 9.....I noticed however that sometimes the programm still vanishes without pre-notice...especially when going forward or backward on the clip.....does somebody knows how to avoid this ???
