I capture both Raw and Jpeg images with my Sony A7 MkII, in Sony's "Play Memories" both RAW and Jpeg are displayed.
When I open Paintshop Pro to edit the RAW image it comes in as attached.
Any ideas?
I am a newbe at this game so may be missing something
Thanks for any Help

Check on Corel website to see if X8 supports your camera- from your examples it appears that it does not have the codec for it.
If you have Aftershot Pro try it- they have been much better at updating camera profiles than PSP.

Re: Raw Images Problems with Paintshop Pro X8
Since your camera is listed as supported, I'd say the codec/profile Corel used is faulty.
I had the same happen on one of my listed supported cameras.
You can contact Corel, they may or may not work with you on correcting the profile, but it would only be for X9 as they will no longer update prior versions.
Sloppy work on the part of Corel developers/programmers to still see this happen.
Best bet, use a free RAW editor like RawTherapee that has a multitude of tools in comparison, and then use PSP to tweak your output image.

Thanks Rondo for the advise and help.
I have raised a ticket with Corel, but will certainly try a free RAW editor as you suggested.
The learning curve is pretty steep
