Free DVD Menus Created by Forum Users
The DVD Menu templates offered here are Thumbnail and Text menus.
The templates are UFO files.
To use a template, download the file and place in your Favourites folder typically :-
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\17.0\Favorites
The folder has to be created by customising an existing template, how?
1 / Open the burner module
2 / Choose a menu template
3 / From the Edit tab choose Customise
4 / Change any detail in the preview screen
5 / Now click “Add to Menu Template” below preview screen, the favorites folder will be created.

Just wanted to post new link to public folder, some of older links don't seem to work. I did update in a few places.

Re: Free from Corel Guide Do More Downloads
Corel provide additional menus for Bluray/Avchd and DVD.
These can be downloaded from the Corel Guide (Edit Tab - the small orange disc above the library) Do More tab
“Menu pack” for Bluray (DoMore_Menu_01.exe)
Increases available templates from 8 to 17
“Menu pack 2” for DVD (DoMore_Menu_02.exe)
Increases….
Smart Scene Menu from 12 to 22
Thumbnails from 19 to 31
Text from 8 to 16
In addition to the above please be aware that we can Customise any menu, then save to our Favourites Gallery Folder.
How…
From the Gallery choose a menu
Edit Tab – Customize – opens a Customize Menu panel
Changing any detail on this panel activates the “Add to menu template” option, below the preview screen.
The menu file being saved here:-
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\19.0\Favorites
and available to use via the Gallery – Favorites tab.

Re: Free DVD Menus Created by Forum Users
Does this still work? I could not get it working in CVS X9. I did succeed in getting the favourites folder but then, that’s it. I downloaded some of the files here https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=A9F3B565 ... 38fd%21105 but then I did not know what to do next.
What I would like to have is AVCHD menu templates including more thumbnails than only five. Is there any way I could modify the menus by myself and increase the number of thumbnails?

.
Have you downloaded and installed the Menu Packs from the Get More module - that adds more AVCHD menus to the burning module
have you created 'favorites' folders as indicated in the first attachment and then added the downloaded menus into those folders
if yes then you should find them in the gallery of the burning module as shown in the second attachment
you can also make many changes to the templates supplied to personalise the menu for your use

Thank you for your answer.
Yes, I have downloaded and installed the Menu Packs from the Get More module. I also succeeded in creating a favourites (DVD) folder and I see the downloaded (https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=A9F3B565 ... 38fd%21105) menu templates there. If I try to locate the same menus in favourites when going to burn an AVCHD video, the folder is still there but it is empty.

Re: Free DVD Menus Created by Forum Users
OK - done some back tracking - noted that you want AVCHD menus - think we missed that first time through - don't think many people are doing that
For AVCHD menus you need you use a different favorites folder - in Windows file explorer you need to manually add a favorites folder in the following location - - - C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\19.0\Favorites\HD Basic\16x9\Favorites
and then put the downloaded menus in there - only those that end in .ufo - the images at the bottom of the download page are just .jpgs and will not work as menus
you will then need to shut down VideoStudio and restart it before you find the menus in the gallery in the burn module by clicking that little white arrow and choosing favorites
EDIT - although I have just surprised myself by finding that they also appear under ALL as well - so need for the little white arrow which I seem to need in previous versions

Re: Free DVD Menus Created by Forum Users
Thank you, it works :) This helps me a lot.
Now I wish I could be able to make menus of my own (might be vain hopes). Is there any way I can customize, that is, to increase thumbnails on a single “page” of those menus that came with menu packs? I have not found any way to do that. I do not especially like my menu to be distributed on several pages.

Re: Free DVD Menus Created by Forum Users
So how many do you want - if you are talking chapters then you need to have two pages - one being the title which transfers the viewer to the chapters page - - but if your show consists of only titles you can do it all on one page
the new menus you have just installed have up to 30 thumbnails do you need more than that
I have just knocked up the AVCHD menu shown on the attached - in VideoStudio - starting with the 20 thumbnail menu and adding 8 titles (but the second page of a 'chapter' video would look the same ) - then changed the background - you can do the same
different picture if you want

Nothing too ambitious, max. ten will do. I just thought that the thumbnails are here so small and I would like to have them a bit bigger, everything else is just fine.

Re: Free DVD Menus Created by Forum Users
in that case make them bigger - any size you can fit onscreen - see below
please watch this video - - - - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIuoQp6Bstc
I made it some time ago and it is for a standard DVD menu - but the procedure for an AVCHD one is almost exactly the same - except that there is no option to change the thumbnail frames - although you use a 20 thumbnail template VideoStudio will only display the number which matches the number of clips/chapters you use

HI...I have just recently installed Ultimate 10 and your advice on gallery/thumbnails etc. has been a big help...I know your post is form some time ago...has there been any progress on being able to invoke thumbnail frames, and more importantly (for me at least) any update o nbeing able to invoke the "motion menu" and Navigation symbols options using Ultimate 10 and AVCHD authoring?
thanks a lot...new to forum so hope I have followed the proper protocols here.

[/quote]
Hi. I have X10. I do not see an “Add to Menu Template” button. Is this option gone?
Thanks.

Hi box011
From the burner module select the Edit tab instead of the Gallery
Choose Customize -- Opens another window allowing us to change the Menu Template
Once we edit the template the Add to Menu Template words will be available.
Corel must have gone to a lot of trouble to hide those words?
This folder will be created
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\20.0\Favorites
