Crash when opening files on Gentoo

Post by arthas »

Hello!

I just installed AfterShoft 3 on Gentoo Linux from a .deb package. I know Gentoo is not supported, but I still thought it would be nice to write about this.

When opening a JPEG file, about 80% of the times I get a segmentation fault:
Container __CATALOG_ROOT__/assets/home/mb/temp/newty
Adding master versions
Scanning file "/home/mb/temp/newty/WP_20160727_11_26_12_Pro.jpg"
Importing: "/home/mb/temp/newty/WP_20160727_11_26_12_Pro.jpg"
TIFF Error: /home/mb/temp/newty/WP_20160727_11_26_12_Pro.jpg "Not a TIFF file, bad magic number 55551 (0xd8ff)"
defaults: "DefaultRendered.xmp"
I do specify JPEG as type when opening the file. I don't know why it displays that error about TIFF. Files are standard JPEGs from a Microsoft mobile phone.

Thanks,
Michele.
