I've been meaning to post a link to the "alternativeto" site for some time, now, and this is as good an opportunity as any to do so:

It has a helluva selection of programs that are more or less (usually less :wink: ) similar to the program you search for. The alternatives are provided by fans of the alternative software, so don't expect to see any drawbacks described, but the site is still a decent enough resource.

Note to administrators: Aaarrgghh! Upon reflection, I think this message probably ought to be a new discussion. Sorry about that....
