A silly question

I just installed Videostudio ProX8 Ultimate and everything has gone well as far as I know. I had to upgrade from my ProX5 because of the problems with windows updates, which made my old program unable to operate.
The question is this: does my new program ProX8, just bought from Amazon UK, contain the patch needed to be able to cope with the updates or do I have to download it myself from Corell? My OS is Windows 7.

If you purchased from Amazon then I guess you have discs in which case it is very unlikely that there are any patches installed - not a problem - you can download and install all the patches and the hotfix for the updates problems from here -

No silly questions here, but did you or have you in the past uninstalled some Windows Updates.

Just curious as I thought X8 would not run without installing Corel VideoStudio X8.5
Hotfix 2, unless Windows Updates had been uninstalled.

Then once the program is running go to help Check for updates and allow the program to install any other available Service Packs. Just my personal choice.

I did uninstall some updates to be able to run ProX5, but then the program developed some other problems so I uninstalled it and installed the new ProX8 Ultimate. I just been notified to install the Service pack 3. Is that the correct one?

Yes install SP3 - then follow that with the final hotfix
