Text is fuzzy, why?

Hi,
Please check the attached image.
I had created that text in Irfanview.
Then I tried to duplicate it in PSP X7 (just the "i" a little to the right), same settings.
Why is that "i" fuzzy? There are only straight lines, no reason to be fuzzy at all.
How can I create the same quality text with X7 that I get with Irfanview?

Check the different settings available for the Text tool in PSP ...

I did the same in PSPX8 no fuzzy text.

Do your settings look like these?

Well, yes it looks similar.
When I have the foreground set to blue and the background to white, the letters seem to be outlined in white or vice versa and appear fuzzy.

There are 2 settings that might be causing your issue. First, make sure that you have Stoke set to Null (no foreground color). And make sure you don't have anti-alias set to Smooth.

Anti Alias: Sharp
