PSP X8 Interface Unusable?

Hi...

Our company used an older copy of PSP (5). And it works fine. I have downloaded PSP X8 and I'm finding it nearly impossible to work with.

1. How do you disable the "black" menus, borders, scrollbars, background, and other interface items? Micro-font white menus on black are pretty much unreadable.

2. How do you set it up to associate with file types? File Associations simply tells you do associate them within Windows? I'm not going though 40+ file formats in Windows and manually associating each with PSP. 5.0 did this automatically.

Hi Brett,

At the bottom of the View Menu there are options to change the color of the Workspace and Background. As far as the File Associations go to File -> Preferences -> File Format Associations. This will open the Control Panel where you can set the preferences. You can check Select All and then uncheck those you don't want associated if that is easier.

Many thanks for the Workspace Color setting and file associations. Totally makes the program useable/viewable now. I spent the longest time trying to find the Workspace Color setting under preferences or file associations within Control Panel.
