MuRa Filters Giving Me Grief

Post by Muriel »

Good Afternoon! Muriel here!

Well now, I have successfully installed PSPX8 and it comes as no surprise that the MuRa plugins are giving me grief in this version and Version X6. They work like a hot damn in Version X4!

I downloaded the FMPatcher, but when it tries to install, this appears:

Unable to execute file.
C/Program Files(X86)\FMPatcher\ FMPatcher.exe

Create process failed. Code 750
The requested operation requires elevation.

I am hoping someone smarter than I am can explain to me what this means and what, if anything, I can do to make it work.

Many thanks..

Muriel!

It means it has to be run "as administrator" Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 10 all run programs by default in Standard permissions mode. It does not matter if you are the administrator of your computer or not. If the program knows to do so it will ask Windows to let it run with elevated permissions. But if it's an older program that's used to how Windows used to run everything with the user's maximum permissions it won't ask. So to run that program, right-click on it and select "Run as Administrator" That should help.

If, PSP is the program running FMPatcher then you need to run PSP as administrator.

You could try importing MuRa filters into Filters Unlimited.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

Well Good Morning,

Just want to thank you for your reply from almost one year ago to the day.. my goodness! I am now running Version X9 on Windows 8.1 and ran into the same issue. I moved the MuRa filters into the Filters Unlimited folder and BINGO!! They work and I am delighted!

Thank-you so much for your reply.. I have no idea how I missed it.

How does one import? Would I need to do this for all other filters/plugins? Just curious....
