Hi, I'm running PSP X7 on win 10 and I cannot put any text on an image.
I have an image open, switch to the text tool, select font size, color, etc. Then I want to place the cursor on the image where I want to place the text and that does not work. The cursor gets stuck outside of the image and typing there does not produce any text although the cursor moves to the right. I have to exit that image and load it again. Sometimes the cursor gets stuck inside the image but not where I want it. I can type the text there but I can't move it to the place on the image where it belongs.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure what it is.
Can someone help?

Can we get a screen shot that shows the text problem in action, the tool options palette, and the materials palette?
The first thing that comes to mind is that you have stroke width set at zero, and the background color turned off. But that's a guess and could easily be wrong.
One thing you might try is doing a full reset of the workspace. If you've made heavy edits to the workspace (palette locations, shortcut keys, etc.) you might want to save it first. FIle -> Workspaces -> Save.
Then Close PSP. HOld the SHIFT key while opening PSP. It'll ask if you want to reset to factory default, say yes.

Re: Cannot put text on images
LeviFiction,
Thanks for the quick response.
I did reset the workspace and things seem to work a little better.
I did use a stroke width of Zero because that was the only way to get a halfway decent looking text. When I used the "One" value, the text was totally screwed up.
See attached screen shot.
The text is not really looking sharp, it could look much better.

Re: Cannot put text on images
Guys,
I need help, please!
Please note the two attached images:
When I try to put the blue text on the banner, I cannot place the cursor in the center (see hand1.jpg). The text is moved up. No way to align it into the center of the white background because all align options are grayed out. I can't undo it either because the Undo button is grayed out.
Once I save it as a jpg, it turns into the second picture (hand2.jpg).
When I close and reopen that image, it's just plain white, no text at all.
Can someone please help?

Re: Cannot put text on images
In your first image it looks like you are creating text as a selection. Change it to create text as a vector and then you will be able to manipulate it. The setting I'm referring to is a drop down box on the Tools tool bar directly above the image in the workspace (unless you've moved it).
