I have .vsp files produced with VS Pro X4 . Could I use these X4 vsp files with a newer version of VS? Perhaps with VS X7, or VS X8 or VS X9?
Thanks for any advice

Re: VS X4 vsp files with newer VS versions
You should be able to open the X4 vsp files in all the later versions. But just be aware that once you save them in, say, X9, they will no longer be able to be opened in the earlier versions unless you specifically save them in an earlier version format. But in this regard VS only allows you to save them in the formats of the two preceding versions, In other words, you can save an X9 vsp in X8 and X7 format; and save an X8 vsp in X7 and X6 format; and so on.
So to be careful you might want to save a copy of your earlier vsp files with a different name so you can always revive those if something goes wrong in a later version.
