Hello,
I have X9 installed and spend a month composing a personal video. Everything looks find until I added audio tracks. For some reason, the preview just stopped at a certain point without any error msg. I checked everything visually and don't seem to have any problem. I played with it until I found out the only way the preview works is either turn on the Sound Mixer on or disable that sound track with the audio files. I even try to
1. Delete the audio file at the stopping point but the preview is still stop pm that point without the audio file.
2. I transfer the entire audio files to a new track and disable the original track but the preview still stopped at the same spot.
I cannot render the project because it sopped in the same spot and not giving out any error msg.
Appreciated if anyone can give me some idea how to solve this problem ?
Thanks

First, we need to know the exact properties of the video and audio in your project, particularly those around the spot where playback stops. You get the Properties by right clicking on the clip(s) and selecting Properties. Then either copy the Properties manually here or take a screen shot of the Properties box and upload it here as an Attachment.
My first instinct was to think you may be using an mp3 audio clip made using one of the mp3 codecs that Video Studio has trouble with, notably the LAMEmp3 codec. In such cases we normally advise people to use an audio editing program like the freeware Audacity to convert the mp3 to standard wav format. But in this case it sounds as though the situation might be more complicated.

Re: Sound track acts funny and stopped my project
Hello Ken,
Thanks for helping. I have attached the properties of the audio and the snapshot of where it stops. I will convert the mp3 to wav and see it will solve my problem. The funny thing is even I deleted the audio from the track, the project still stops, As i said, the only way to play the project is either turn on the sound mixer or disable the sound track. I am also attach my project properties and preference for your reference. One thing I would note is that when I first assemble this and other audio files, everything seems to be working fine until I am ready to render.
Thanks for any idea you have ..

Re: Sound track acts funny and stopped my project
Ii could be that the issue is with the transitions at that point, try removing/changing them and render again

Hi
I agree with Robert, remove the transition from the Text clip, try using Text Animation rather than the transition.

Re: Sound track acts funny and stopped my project
Thanks you guys. I did deleted the transition and it still stopped at that position. I finally has to save all my audio files to the library, deleted the audio track and start the audio track ( with the transition intacted ) all over again. This time it worked. I guess some properties on that audio got stuck but there is no way to really find out what is wrong because there is no diagnostic tool to tell what's wring.
