Hi all
Basically, having copied a clear image from a document, the inserted image seems as if it has less colours than the original and I can't figure out why. Tha attached image is not the original , but the result of copying.
Has anyone any idea? It's as if when I copy the image, it loses a load of merging colours and they look too bad to be used. I've had the same with scanning photos - I had some taken for a passport, but I couldn't use them when opening them.
Thanks.

Hi
I have managed to get the correct original by copying from the web. Notice how the colours merge aor transpose and there are no sharp edes.
WHY?

Re: Problem copying images
That looks like a compression problem when you save the image. When you save the jpg check the options and make sure the compression is less than 10

It seems you have decreased the colors to 16 colors.Stokkers wrote:Hi all

Does it happen with all images or only when you use the clipboard ?

Re: Problem copying images
Thanks. I'll have a check up on that, but I ad a feeling is was something to do like the next reply. I did try to find how many colour it is being saved to, but can't find it. I know it has happened in the past, once when scanning and several times when I have copied to he clipboard.hartpaul wrote:That looks like a compression problem when you save the image. Unfortunately, I am a bit bogged down with another project today, but if I get time, I'll look into the compression and the amount of colours.
Thanks for you replies.
