Use Photoshop Actions in PSP?

Post by Munenushi »

Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to use Photoshop Actions, or import them, into PSP.
I did a search here but only found information on Scripts, which seems similar.
Is there a converter, if not, that can convert PS Actions into PSP Scripts?
Thank you for any information on this.

No there is not. Even if there was, you could only guarantee a small number of commands could transfer over. There is no automated way to convert Actions to to PSPScripts. The best option is to open an action in Photoshop and see how it's constructed, then see if you can create a similar working script in PSP. It's slow, but you'd get a much better script out of it. Assuming PSP has any of the necessary components to make an equivalent Script.

Do you have any specific actions in mind you want to convert?

Oh I see, thanks you for this information, I did not know you could open or view the Action. That would work well and I could look at what is being done.

Not specifically no, I was just looking at other people's results online and wondering if I could import them into PSP. Your idea of opening the Actions is perfect though!
