OK I finally see what you mean "different order of operations." You can't set your text options before entering text; you have to put down the text first then choose the font and size and colors. Who in their right mind would think this was a good idea? You basically have to edit the text every time. In order to run a script to put text on multiple images; I have to enter text first, then set the options, then delete that text so the script runs with the correct text properties. If I don't, it reverts to the previous settings. This is what I thought was a glitch the first time I used the program when the text settings kept reverting to the default; now you say this is a feature. This is a deal breaker for X9 and there was no option to download a trial version to see what it was like.LeviFiction wrote:It's just a different order of operations. Every version prior to X9: Change font settings before adding text or during. And you have to enter text edit mode to change fonts of current items.
Now you have to start your new text before changing the font options and can change any font setting without entering edit mode first. They're trade-offs. Some will find it handy, others not so much. But all in all, it's just a general change that if you use X9 you will have to get used to.
Corel continues to break things in new versions that worked well in previous versions; and I foolishly keep buying the program thinking that's going to change.
