Audio codec error in VS7

Post by JohnN »

I have been trying to create a VCD in VS7

The file I want to render is an .avi file that will play using Windows Media player 7. I can impoert the clip fine and can hear sound when i play it in the main window but when I try and create a VCD I get an error saying that it is unable to access the audio codec driver. Any ideas ??

what type of file are you dealing with -- what are the properties of the source video :?:

You might have a conflicting, missing or damaged codec -- this is a common problem when installing one of the many codec packs floating around the 'net.

Try downloading Sherlock 2.0 and have it check your codecs.

I have tried the sherlock program but it didn't throw up any errors.

The file I have been trying to use is .avi - where can I find the source properties ?
