Hi Trevor.
The first suggestion worked around the problem fine. A bit long but as the clips are only small it doesn't take long to render them.
I would how ever still like to know how I get the original Paint creator to work as it did. So if some one can help it would be appreciated.
Love this forum there are so many helpful folk on it.
Thanks again for your help Trevor

Re: jumping when scubbing through editor.
Hi Trevor
I placed the map clip onto the transition track and my main video clip above.
Unfortunately when played it has a black section to one side, as in attached photo. Moving the resizing lines make no difference as the clip just move further right including the black strip.
I am not very good with computers so find your other suggestions hard for follow.
Thank you anyway for your help.

Re: jumping when scubbing through editor.
When you make the overlay map, make sure it is exactly the same size (or proportion of the size) as the video it is overlaying. So if your video is 1920 x 1080, make sure the map has the same size (or a proportion of that e.g. a bigger map could be 3840 x 2160 i.e. increased by a factor of 2). That should hopefully eradicate that black bar.

Hi
Just to add, you used an image in Paint Creator, the image was the wrong size to fill the widescreen frame, that image should be using a 16 : 9 aspect ratio.
I suspect it was 2x3 or 4x3?
As Ken says an image resolution of say 1920 x 1080 will fill the screen removing those borders, and any larger sizes providing they are 16:9 ratio.
