Editor window V. X2 / X5->X8 different ...?

Post by candyman09 »

Hi folks,

I'm getting crazy with recent versions.... I work with an old V. X2 (12) but often intended to update to a newer version (X5 / X6 / X8) and installed the trials. Well, I'm used to work in the editor with very often more than one file open, having them on my workspace open side by side or overlapped, so I can click on one to make it active. This is very nice in X2 and X2.5 !!
My problem, I can't get X5 and followers to allow this in the editor. I just can work on ONE file/picture/photo, which then fills the workspace / editor window completely. A no-go for me... but I guess I just can't find how to setup what I want. :?:
Anyway, none of the "newer" versions survived and I still use X2 (Win10). Hope you understand what I mean... sorry for my bad english....

So...how to do it ? :?:

cheers

Try menu Window/Tabbed Documents. It will have a check mark when it's ON. Click on it to toggle on and off. When it's OFF you will get the multiple open images in one work space as you are used to.
The Window menu also allows you to 'cascade' and 'tile' images, among other things.

"Tabbed" means that at the top of the edit workspace, just under the system menu, you see one tab for each open image. You click on a tab to see/edit it.
