Hey all - first post! I've got PSP X8, and I've created a nice graduated filter effect, but I'd like to lighten it up some. Trouble is I can't for the life of me figure out how to reselect it so I can edit it! I really don't want to have to undo all the way back to un-creating it since I've put work in since then. I'm sure this is easy...would be most grateful for your wisdom!
Many thanks!

Re: How to edit/reselect an effect?
Until an expert answers, maybe this:
If I misunderstood, please disregard, but if you open the History palette (menu View/Palettes/History -or- F3) and Ctrl-click on the single step you want to undo, it will work if the step wasn't non-undoable/dependent on other steps. You may need to Ctrl-click to select the action's bar first, before clicking the undo box.
You can't, as far as I know, open that step to re-do it with different parameters. You can perform the step again but it will go to the top of the stack.
Consider working with (adjustment) layers which you can readjust (if it's an adjustment layer), move around the stack, delete etc.

Forriner, thank you so much - I had no idea the History palette existed!! Will try as soon as I get home. And you're absolutely right - this should have been its own layer.
I've only had PSP for three days, but my photos have absolutely come to life. Truly amazing software!!!! And I can afford it - imagine that!

If your graduated filter effect is on it's own layer you can select that layer in the layer's palette and lighten it.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed
