Greetings all.
I have Pro X 9 on my editing machine on one hard drive and Pro X 8 on another. I want to bring all of the saved Titles from 8 over to 9.
Initially, I had both 8 and 9 on the SSD. It was easy enough to open a .VSP file and just drag and drop the titles into the title area. I have since removed 8, and last night 9 decided to not work anymore. Unfortunately, the re-load of 9 wiped out the saved titles back to defaults only, so now I'm wondering which folder I can copy from 8 over to 9 that will bring my titles back.
I suppose I could copy the entire program to the SSD and then open the .VSP files, but a bit more involved than I really wanted to do.
Jeff

Re: import/export
When you talk about "saved Titles" do you mean Titles you have created yourself in X8 and want to use in X9; or do you mean the Titles which came with X8? If the latter, then simply click on the Do More icon which is an orange circle with downward pointing white arrow below the Capture/Edit/Share tabs at the top of your VS screen. When the Do More window opens you will see a Titles tab which contains two Title packs (7 and 8 ) plus a number of fonts. These extra Titles are exactly the same as those which expanded the original X8 pack. And the original X8 pack is also identical to the original X9 pack.

Hi Jeff
You say you have removed X8, do you mean you have uninstalled the program? If so you may have lost your titles from X8.
First if you have X8 installed and will not run then install the HotFix 2 from this link
http://www.videostudiopro.com/en/suppor ... sion-tab=1
OK
Your library details are saved to a hidden folder here:-
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\18.0\en-US
Using the keyboard-- Pressing windows logo + R key then type %appdata% should locate the Roaming folder, navigate to the 18.0 folder.
Does that folder exist, if yes copy VS_Title.dat file and replace in the 19.0 folder.
I would suggest you make a copy of the original file before replacing.
Your X8 titles should show in X9

Trevor... I'm at a loss to understand why you would use that roundabout method to achieve the same end that I suggested using a more obvious method within VS....

Re: import/export
Hi Ken
Jeff said “ I have since removed X8”
Now if he cannot run X8 then he cannot save the text to VSP, although from his comments has used that method before.
It is possible that the folder 18.0 still exists depending on how he uninstalled / removed the program. In which case the library folder will be available to copy across.
A little confusion there as to whether X8 is installed? And my first comments asked that question.
It maybe that his original text VSP’s are still on his pc, he just has to find them.?

Re: import/export
I still read his post as saying that he now has a working version of X9 but that it does not have all the Titles that he had in X8 -- just the "default" ones which came with it (i.e. the original 34). I have also in the past used the method of creating a VSP in one version, dragging all the extra Titles into the timeline, saving it then opening it in a later version and simply dragging the extra titles into the Titles library. Easy enough, though a bit time consuming, but it works, yes.
However, if he has now got a new and working X9, those extra 20 Titles are available in Do More for download in Title Packs 7 and 8...
But that's why I was after confirmation that these were the Titles he is talking about, and not ones he created himself...
