Hi. Although I've looked and tried numerous ways to do this, maybe I'm missing something? To me, it seems like a logical thing to have in the editor but, I am at a loss why it isn't available. I have a number of photos (jpg images) which I've placed into the timeline (top track) so that I can make a movie that appears as a slide show. Please, see the attached image which explains the issue. Any help will be appreciated.

put all the still images in the timeline - select the first and hold down SHIFT as you select the last (standard windows procedure)
RIGHT click on the selected block and choose "change photo duration" from the pop-up - a small clock will appear - whatever you set there will be the duration of each photo (clock is "Hours - Minutes - Seconds - frames")

You can also grab the end of the clip and with "Shift" pressed drag to where you want it to end. That gives good visual control.
However, that only works on a per clip basis.

Thanks for replying.
The answer to each of you is "Of course, I selected a group of the jpgs (all on the same track) prior to trying to find some way to change the duration of all of them at once to some number of seconds. Each one was supposed to have the SAME number of seconds duration." When more than one of them is selected (highlighted), the Photo Duration option turns OFF. That's the only reason I wrote and asked for help.

You put MOVIES in your timeline. I put jpg images in my timeline, as I stated in my first post.asik1 wrote:Have you actually selected them?
EDITED: Well, I don't know why this happened but, suddenly it began working? I had spent at least an hour or more trying everything and it wasn't working no matter what I tried. Gee whiz. So, my entire post can be deleted.
