how to create HD Quality mp4 Edited Video

Post by sherioxe »

HI All, i've been using corel VS X5 pro and now i'm using X9 ultimate
i was able to create the videos in custom menu with any data rate i want (depending on the video quality) in X5
NOW EVERY TIME i try to create A video. the output is always 2700 KBPS, however i adjust the setting it keeps created with this quality,

the original video is 1280*720 8000 KBPS 29 FPS, i edited it and saved it with the same settings in MP4, it has to be 1.64 gb
but the output file is always between 2400 & 2700 KBPS 460 Mb. which is a very bad quality compared to the original

PLZ HELP

Is that a typo that your input source is 29FPS? I'm going to assume so, and that you mean original source is 30fps.

To help you, I would need much more details. Like what is the format of the source video? Which camera is producing it? Use Mediainfo or Properties to provide format: example, is it mp4? mpg?

Then do you mean that even though you are specifying higher bit rates, the resulting rendered file has lower bit rates than you expect? The bottom line is that you are getting rendered files that are not as high a quality as you want. After knowing more about your issue, I'll perhaps be able to offer better suggestions, but right now, I recommend you render the same format as the original video source to avoid any conversion.

If, as we suspect, your original video is mp4, then make sure that in the VS Preferences > General the box beside "Show message when inserting first video clip into the timeline" is ticked. Then start a New Project. Drag one of your clips into the timeline. You should get a message asking if you want the Project Properties to match those of the clip. Say OK to that.

After editing your project, you then go to Share and select the option at the very top: "Same As Project Settings" (tick the box to the left of that). Give the new file a name and press Start. The resulting video should have exactly the same Properties as the first clip you inserted.

Note that "Show message" only works with the first clip in a New Project.

and yes after editing and even though specifying the same bit rates in custom mode or mp4 profile , the resulting rendered file has lower bit rates than i expect.

Mr. Ken Berry:
Thanks for help .... i have done the steps, and i got the exact bit rate as original but only with "enable smart render" is ticked on, without it its poor like before,
anyhow the video is played for 5 sec and then it turns into GRAY SCREEN ......OMG

No idea how to help you yet. Explain what editing you are doing. Perhaps a short experiment: add video to time line and do no editing, then Share/render same as project (like Ken posted), report if quality is now the same.
