I use VS X9
Here's an issue that I have with multi cam. I had 4 camera tracks for a song and dance show, two shot with a Canon camera & 2 shot with a PAnasonic camera. Due to camera limitations I wasn't able to color balance the cameras so that they produced similar colors. Please note that the 4 camera tracks could be 40 minutes long
Without multi cam I would adjust the panasonic camera to match the canon camera colors using the X9 "edit" to adjust hue, white balance, etc. I would adjust the colors once in the timeline before I started editing them.
With multicam you select the files for the multi cam editor & it doesn't look like there is any way do adjust the colors to match before the edit. When you complete the multi cam function multiple clips for the 4 cameras would be placed on the main track of the timeline. I would then have to edit the color attributes of each clip (20+ edits) instead of just once.
The only way around this I can see is to use x9 to produce a color corrected clip prior to the multi cam process. Is there any other way around this?

Re: Multi camera color correction question
Hi
Good point,
We could set colour correction to our clips, drag to the library retains those filters.
Unfortunately opening the clips from the library to MCE looses the filter effects, in a way I can understand the reasons for that.
After MCE you can set colour corrections to one clip, then use Copy and Paste Attributes to other clips, that makes it a little easier.
I do understand your predicament, but do not know a way around this?

Re: Multi camera color correction question
Thanks!
I will try the copy and paste attribute technique.
