Create an old/weathered effect in VS X9
Hi - I want to apply an old/weathered look to my videos in black and white. I already tried using the 'old film' filter but even if I customize the settings and reduce the value of 'shock' effect to '0', the video is still too jumpy for my liking. Is there a way to remove this shock effect from the filter for good or is there any other filter that I could use to get the same look? (grainy, scratches, etc.) or perhaps a filter I can buy from Corel? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,
Did you purchase Videostudio X9 Ultimate with the NewBlue Film Effects gift? This is a very customizable filter for producing various old film looks. If you did and it is not appearing, you can try this article:

I purchased Corel VS x9 Pro. Does this software come with this free gift as well? All I can find under filters is "NewBlue Titler EX"

Hi,
Sorry, the NewBlue plugin gift was available with the Ultimate version for the $14.99 upgrade price. I don't think that pricing is still available.
Best regards,
Dan

I contacted Corel CS and turns out they never sent me the download link although it was offered during the time of my purchase. Got them now. Thanks Dan for letting me know about these.
