Stream Upload Error

Post by l_breslow »

WIN 10, VideoStudio X9
I was trying to import some pictures into my library and the software crashed and I got a "STREAM UPLOAD ERROR". Now the software will not load. It stalls about 3 minutes in the VideoStudio Screen, then I get the same error message "Stream Upload Error."

I have cleared my browsing history/cache and closed VideoStudio with my task manager, rebooted my computer several times, but to no avail.

Can someone please give me some help with this.

Thank you.

Stream Upload Error

Post by lata »

Hi

I would suspect a corrupt library?
Where were the source files stored?

Can you try resetting the program

http://lata.me.uk/corel/reset/reset.htm

Written for earlier versions so replace 18.0 with 19.0

The source files were scanned in and resided on my computer's desktop. They were just imported into VS from my desktop.

I will try what you suggest, however, this is a new install of VSx9 within the last couple of weeks. My computer was messed up and I had to reinstall WIN10 and it took 4 days on the phone with Microsoft tech support to even get VS x9 to work with WIN10. It's been working fine for the last week until yesterday. So I doubt that it's a corrupt library since all the images have been recently uploaded to the library.

I can't even get into VSx9. It just spins at start up then I get this STREAM UPLOAD ERROR.

Hi

Interesting that you had problems with Windows 10 and Video Studio, maybe those problems whatever they were are still giving problems.

I tried Windows 10 but eventually reverted back to W7, it was my older pc that was the real problem, old Main Board and Graphics did not have W10 drivers.

I have to say the Video Studio installed ok and seemed to work, it was the overall Windows 10 experience that was bad, programs freezing, black screens etc.

I mentioned a corrupt library as you were trying to import clips there when the program first crashed.
If you have re-named the 19.0 folder and the program does not start, you can revert back to the original 19.0.
It will take a while on the first launch as files and folders are being created.

If the program does not run then you have no option but to Re-Install the program.

I have attached a Clean_up tool to help uninstalling X9
After uninstall please delete the %appdata% 19.0 folder before installing
VSX9_Cleanup.zip
(649.41 KiB) Downloaded 100 times

Interesting what you just sent me because when I was first having this problems a few weeks ago, I believe you were the one that sent me this clean up tool before. It was the lack of it working they cause me (along with other software issues, to wipe my computer clean and reinstall win10. And, even Microsoft could get VSx9 to work even after the new install. We had to clean temp files and then run the cleanup tool again plus a bunch of other stuff that I don't even ember now.

In revisiting the start of this STREAM UPLOAD ERROR I think it started upon execution of the software not when imported images from my desktop. Sorry for the misinformation. I am wondering if the error is related to the software being a downloaded version rather than from a hard disk? What if I just downloaded it again, could that repair the issue?

I ran the cleanup tool, which uninstalled VS x9 and I reinstalled VXx9 from the original email sent to me in Feb 2016, but I have the same error message. It seems to reinstall fine, but upon execution the STREAM UPLOAD ERROR occurs and prevents me fro accessing the software. Any other thoughts out there? Thank you for your help.

Hi

Can you download the Main program again, the Feb version was updated to include SP 2 I think.
it should not matter to the installation but is worth trying.

The Feb Ultimate folder is 1,158,342,405 bytes
the latest folder is 1,156,407,157 bytes

At least that's what I have.

You only need the Main program, the Standard content and Bonus packs are the same.

I already did. It has the same problem. It wouldn't execute and have same STREAM UPLOAD ERROR. Put in a tech support call but they never got back to me except to confirm my request. I am so frustrated. There must be an easy solution to this. It's just happening too often. Any other thoughts? Thank you for your help.

Their resolution didn't help either. They had me change the Corel VideoStudio Pro folder to Pro.old, which had already been suggested to me by one of the forum people. It didn't help either. Same problem. Back where I started from. Will not execute. VideoStudio spins and spins then I get the STREAM UPLOAD ERROR.

Any other thoughts? I know this is directly related to Win10! I have no doubt, but don't know what to do to fix it. HELP>

Hi

Sorry you are still having problems, as I mentioned I did have problems installing Windows 10 but that I think was because of my older pc.
You do not show the profile of your computer, can we assume it is relatively new with upto date drivers installed.
My problem was the lack of drivers compatible with Windows 10.

Can you update your forum profile to include your computer specs. Thanks.

If you are sure it’s a Windows 10 problem, do you have other issues running Windows 10? If yes you should consider reverting back to your older windows platform, I am assuming you did upgrade and not a new pc?
But it does appear to be your pc that’s at fault and not Video Studio.

Have you have tried running the program via the compatibility options.
Or tried running the program in Safe Mode, I assume the normal program will run in that mode?

Other thoughts....
Some installation issues for Video Studio were fixed by creating a new User Account, then install the program via that account, maybe worth a try.
Use the Cleanup tool to remove the program, then delete the folders mentioned here.
