Corel video studio Pro X3 installation problem

Hi,

I was using corel video studio in windows 7. Recently I have updated my system into windows 10.

My PC: Samsung R580 - Core-i3.

Now while installing in windows 10, I am getting error message that "script.dll" is missing.


How can I solve this issue. I want to install the corel video studio in windows 10.

You need to find out if VSX3 is compatible with Win 10, before you installed Win 10, did you run the Win 10 PC App. incompatible check, have you tried installing in XP or Win 7 mode

Personally, I would not be disappointed if I could not load X3 -- it was perhaps the worst conceived of all versions of Video Studio!

Yes, I checked with the win7 compatibility mode. However the problem is same.

"Script.dll" is missing -

It seem this script.dll is missing in windows 10. I can install other softwares wothout any problem. Only i get problem with corel products.

Is that all Corel products?
Try downloading and installing Video Studio X9

If that fails then I would suspect your computer rather than VSX9?

Hi Lata, Thanks, Yes the problem is same for other corel product as well - for example The same problem occurs when I try to install coreldraw.

It seems that we need to copy or install "script.dll" in windows10 inorder to install corel products. There is no problem with other software installation.

As far as I know you are the first person to report this problem, many others on the forum have installed Corel programs without problems.

I do not run Windows 10 so cannot really help with Script.dll

You may be best to contact Corel Support, they do have a Chat Line or Facebook I assume are free.

I seem to have numerous script.dll files dotted around my computer - is there any clue as to where the installation file is looking for this particular one

I also have CoreDRAW X7 on my main X10 x64 computer, with no problems; and X6 on another with Win 10 x64. And all of them have various versions of other Corel products including successive versions of VS and PSP. I have never seen a reference to this script.dll message. So as Brian says, can you tell us exactly which one seems to be missing. Can you take a screen grab of the error message?
