Grid plug-in locks up

I was excited to see that AFP3 supports the RAW format of my Fujifilm Finepix HS50EXR, but disappointed it doesn't have lens correction for it. So I decided to use the manual settings instead of the database and save it. Every time but one after I fixed the lens correction the save button was ghosted, so I couldn't save my settings. The one time I was able to save my settings, I couldn't load them when I opened the program again. Then I discovered the grid plug-in, which says it's 32/64 bit, and I wanted to use that to get an even better manual setting for lens correction. Nope, crashes every single time. I'm trying to use a square grid and make smaller squares so I can be more accurate. At first I assumed it was the "hot fix" causing trouble, from reading other posts here and my own experience that made AFP3 INCREDIBLY unstable. So I reinstalled pre "hot fix" AFP3 with high hopes, and grid still crashes AFP3.

I realize my camera is not super popular, which is why I was so happy AFP3 has some support for it. And I really don't mind doing my own lens correction settings and sharing them, but I can't even do that because the program constantly crashes! And whatever the "hot fix" did made it worse AND super slow!
