Corel Videostudio being laggy

I'm not sure what's happening, but my video goes through the matrix. I use mp4 video. I'm pretty new to this, and I have the trial right now to see if I want to get it (so my videos can look a bit more professional when I make commissions updates for these things). I also want to put an overlay (besides the laughing dog thing) for streaming and gaming that begins at around 55 seconds, but there's a weird border around it. The overlay itself has a bit of a fade around the edges, but I'm not sure if that's why it has a huge border or not.
The audio is in sync with the second time a frame is played. I have a pretty new computer so I don't think it's because of that.

I also can't export anything, it renders completely then gives me a window saying that I can only view on windows 7, 8, or 10 (I have 7) and also gives me another error message when I have the two overlays going (the laughing dog and the stream one). When I just have the laughing dog it renders successfully, but the video still warps around.

Any help would be appreciated! If its just because I have the trial I understand, but I still don't like phasing out of existence for a few moments. XD

It could be that it's the trial version. I'm not sure if the trial is Pro X7 or what version it is, but if you consult this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ2FEwB4m7o, he fixes lag problems by incorporating a smart proxy. Could be worth trying.

With your Windows error messages, I have no idea.

How about listing your computer specs (see mine on the side) along with what created those files, and what resolution they are.
Also, what are your settings?

I've dropped Corel, I figured out how to fix it, but my internet sucks too much to make it worthwhile. I appreciate the help!

That's a shame. I guess go with a new ISP and try again in the future. It's quite worthwhile.
