[Solved]RedrawScreen/DrawUpdate issue in PSPx8 (Windows 10)?

Post by Troy at TheGTAMblog »

Just wondering if anyone else has run into an odd issue I noticed with x8 in Windows 10...

When using a tool, such as the Paint Brush, if I make a stroke with it, the new stroke does not actually 'show up' on the screen/image immediately anymore [as I draw it] - I have to do something else, such as Zoom In/Out or move the image somehow, for it to be 'updated' with the new stroke [which would then show the new colour added].

This is running:
  • PaintShop Pro x8 (v 18.2.0.61 x64)
  • Windows 10 (latest Updates)
  • AMD GPU Crimson drivers (v 16.6.2)
The latest thing to be changed is the GPU Drivers in a recent Update, so it may be that which is the cause (and something I would have to submit as a Bug perhaps?) - but I'm wondering if there is a setting or something that anyone knows that can cause this, perhaps it is an optional thing and I inadvertently changed it... Thanks!

Just wanted to pop back to say that this issue has apparently solved itself..

All I did was double-check everything (Drivers, etc) and Reboot a couple of times (I was installing some other programs and went back to Windows 8.1 for a bit - perhaps this helped to 'finalize' some Driver updates in Windows 10? hmmm..).

[I don't see a way to delete posts....] Oh well, hopefully if this odd refresh/draw/update thing should happen to anyone else, it will go away as easily for you!

Edit:
Just an Update (via an Edit so as not to 'bump' the thread), as of July 15th, this still occurs (albeit not very often), so it is difficult to see what could be causing it... I will continue to investigate, as it pops up
