Before and after views in X8
Is there another way to show the original photo next to the photo I’m editing in Edit mode other than to copy and paste it as a new image and then tile them?

menu Window/Duplicate or shift+d duplicates the window, so you have two copies. You can compare original with edits.
menu Window/New Window or shift+w duplicates the window and shows edits in both windows. So you can zoom one in or out to edit and see changes to the whole image at the same time. A Duplicated image will show the original at the same time.
You can also use layers. Duplicate the background layer and edit the second layer. On the Layers palette you can toggle the visibility of the layer on and off, viewing the original when needed.
Maybe someone else has better ideas?

Thank you Forriner. Good options.

Can I see the before and after (view while I'm editing) in the adjust mode?
