Can't Record Voice to Soundtrack Using Microphone

In VideoStudio 8, when I click "Record Voice" to add a narrative to my video production, I get an error message saying "Unable to open the file %s" and nothing is recorded. Please help!

Make sure you have your sound card working properly. Check to device manager of your system properties if the sound card don't have an exclamation mark. If it has, try reinstalling your sound card driver. Also, in the audio properties, make sure you have your microphone not in mute in the recording properties. ^_^

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, neither did the trick. Microphone works fine with other applications. It's not muted and device is working properly. Please keep the suggestions coming!

I guess it has something to do with the program itself. Why don't you try a clean reinstallation of your VideoStudio 8. Delete temp folders, program folders, installation folders, and registry entries before installation. ^_^
