Re: VS X9 Time Line Problem
If you just want to get this project done and over with, reedit your MCE segment correctly and than reimport it and don't touche it any longer.

Re: VS X9 Time Line Problem
Hi Mark
The MCE is sync' tool which also allows us to choose camera angles, it is not a Multi Trim tool.
I suspect it may be the project portion rather than the clip that is affected by MCE, if so you could try moving all clips to the library creating a copy.
Then delete clips from the timeline and replace with library copies, that of course will remove any transitions.
You may have to use Ctrl + drag and Drop when replacing the clips.
Make a copy of your project to test this out, File Save As.
I will try this later, when i have time..

Re: VS X9 Time Line Problem
Hi Mark
So far I am unable to remove the MCE edit effect applied to the project but can change individual clip length by using the library or Overlay track
1 / drag a clip to the library.
2 / use the trim bar below the preview screen to remove / add frames
3 / delete clip from timeline and replace with clip from library.
Or
Drag clip to overlay track to trim ends
Drag edited clip back to top timeline

Re: VS X9 Time Line Problem
Bingo
Do you have earlier versions of video Studio X8 or X7
Save the project again File – Save As
Save as type for X8 or X7
File new project to close existing project
File Open Project to open new project
Now MCE effect on project seems to have been removed allowing you to edit normally.
If you do not have X8 or X7
Zip your vsp and attach to your post, I will do the save and send back to you.

Re: VS X9 Time Line Problem
I like your last suggestion! Last version I have is VS6 Pro.
So...I will send you my project file. And have you save as VS 7 or 8 project file.
Should I post it here or email to you?
And a million thanks!!!

Hi Mark
Zip the vsp and attach to this post.
I will not be able to view the content as i do not have your files, but will be able to save it for X8 and send it back.
You will be able to open in X9 and hopefully trim those clips.
there is always something new to learn.

Re: VS X9 Time Line Problem
Hi Mark
One thing I noticed….
You referred to Bluray plugin in an earlier post.
I assume you would be burning a Bluray disc yet your project properties are set for SD 720 x 480.
I would have expected 1920 x 1080 especially as your video files indicate using MTS.
Personally I would set Project Properties to match my MTS files, then render to MTS settings to create an output file in High Deffinition
And if I need SD DVD convert that file to mpeg2?

Re: VS X9 Time Line Problem
Hi Mark
I did slip up a little in getting you to upload the VSP, in fact you could have done the "save to X8" option.
Don’t know why I thought X8 had to be installed.
File – Save As – give it a new name --- in the Save Type choose X8 – then Save.
Then File New to clear the timeline, then open saved VSP.

Re: VS X9 Time Line Problem
IT WORKED !!!!
Program time line is back to normal! You are a genius ! Now I can finally get caught up with my movie.
My biggest question is why did this happen in the first place? And should I be saving as VS8 from now on?
Cheers!
