File "Save As" /or F12 causes PSP x8 to Crash

Post by andrew moore »

Sirs.
Am relatively new into PSP x8, 4 months in - enjoying it. Apologies if this post is in wrong place, have searched thoroughly so here goes.
Have reason to move PSP x8 off my laptop & onto Desktop... more RAM 12 GB. PSP loads up & i can get into my files and navigate well.
On loading - working on a given photo (Adding Text) i come to save it & PSP8 instantly & repeatedly crashes.. im' stuck .... am thinking to re-install PSP x8 - But do i have to remove/delete any old files/folders/directories on the hard disk first...

Thank you much for reading,,,, anxiously await good direction

Thanks much Andy

Before you uninstall and reinstall, you could try resetting your workspace to factory default. This article by Corel references PSPX6 but it works the same way on PSPX8.

Note if you have done any customization it would be wise to save your workspace before resetting.

First you don't have to 'move' your PSPx8 from your laptop to your desktop. Simply leave PSPx8 on the laptop and load and install PSPx8 onto your desktop. Your Corel agreement allows for it.

If it was my system I would do an uninstall on the desktop. Then download or copy the downloaded files to your desktop and do a fresh install.
