How to Enable Disabled Opt-Out Box?
Those pop-up ads, both start-up and leaving PSPX7...the msg box says to check the box to stop the messages, but it's disabled. In fact, it has been disabled for YEARS. How can I get this box enabled so I can opt out of all these offers?

Are you on the latest service pack? I don't know if there is some sort of secret to "enabling" it but you can delete the messages. It's possible those files are just corrupted and that's what's causing the issue.
So, first thing is to make sure you are all up to date on your service packs.
Second thing, turn off messages altogether. So, go to Help - > Message Preferences -> Deselect both boxes.
Third, delete the messages folder which has all of the current messages that PSP has downloaded. I don't actually remember which one PSPX7 uses. It's either C:\ProgramData\Corel\Messages or C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Corel\Messages.
Look in both and delete both, or just rename them to something like "oldmessages"
This clears the current messages and prevents PSP from downloading new ones.
Now, if you want to get the messages again, just turn them back on using the Message Preferences. If the option is still disabled when you turn them back on....then I have no idea.
