Videostudio X9 - where are the "enhanced audio tools"?
I have upgraded from x8 to x9...I am happy. However, one of the things that Corel said was added to x9 was "enhanced audio tools", or something like that. I have looked around and I don't see anything any different from x8. What gives? Does anyone know just what it is they improved?

I don't use the inbuilt audio tools -- though I have a large set of NewBlue ones (well beyond the 6 that come with X8/X9). I mainly do my audio editing with third party software.
That being said, the only difference I can see between X8 and X9 is that in X9 you can access the audio filters more directly by clicking on what to me is a new button in the FX library when you have changed the timeline to Audio View. See image below.
Otherwise, I cannot see anything different since the 20 filters supplied appear to be identical in both programs.

Oh, that must be it, thank you Ken. That is pretty nice but you still have to go to the filters the old way if you want to modify them using the "options" button.

Re: Videostudio X9 - where are the "enhanced audio tools"?
Audio Ducking has been improved in X9, there is better control of the attack and decay. VideoStudio is not an audio editing programme, for serious audio editing split the audio and edit in an audio editing programme such as Audacity.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.
