Paintshop Pro x8 crashes with Undo

I am using Paintshop Pro x8 on an ASUS laptop running Windows 10.

Lately, I have been crashing Paintshop Pro when I do the following to a photo in .jpg format. I use the specific settings as examples only - the exact numbers seem to be irrelevant because it has crashed with many different ones.

1 - Adjust > Color > Fade Correction
2 - Layers > Vibrancy (set to, say, 20)
3 - Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Local Tone Mapping (set to, say, strengh = 4)
4 - Save As (pspimage)
5 - Image > Resize (1600x1200)
6 - Export as an optimized JPG file
7 - Undo

Interestingly, if I skip step 6 and Undo after the first five, it does not crash.

Does anyone have this problem, or know how to fix it?

Have followed your steps on Windows 7 and PSP X8 version 18.1.0.67 and cannot duplicate your problem. Undo works Ok .

I've also followed those steps exactly under Win 10 PSP 18.2.0.61 and it remained stable for me after using Undo. No crash.

Can you tell me what version of Win 10 you are running?

I am running Windows 10 Home, Version 1511, OS Build 10586.420.

I purchased System Mechanic and ran it on the machine. It turned up lots of "issues", including some registry problems. After fixing the problems, the crashes haven't recurred. I can't conclude that the crashes were caused by a registry problem, but since others can't reproduce my problem, it seems likely that something in my configuration was at fault. Not a PSP bug.
