VideoStudio X9 Pro 5.1 Project Settings

Hi everyone,

I have just installed the VideoStudio X9 Pro plus both Service Packs and wanted to cut a movie from my camcorder (m2ts Files).
When I want to setup the project, there are no available profiles in avchd, hdv ... When I click on New, it tells me there is either not enough memory or the ULTEMPL.DAT might by damaged?!

This way I am not able to make a 5.1 movie. Can anyone help?

If you are using the Trial version then you can only set Project Properties to use either AVI or Mpeg, there is no option for AVCHD.

Sorry but I do not know why you get that error message?

By 5.1 movie are you referring to Digital Dolby surround sound, if not can you explain.

Can you tell us if you are using the trial version.

We cannot really help with the trial as it is limited function makes it difficult to use.

You may be best installing the purchased version, and if not satisfied claim your money back before the deadline.

Out of curiosity TK, do you per chance happen to have other versions of Videostudio installed? You have be experiencing a version collision, where X9 is seeing the older settings and trying to use it's configurations, instead of that which it was bundled with.

As a starter, try this:

On your keyboard, hold the Windows key and press R to bring up the run box
Type in %appdata% and click the OK button.
In the new window, find the Ulead Systems folder.
Rename the Ulead Systems folder to say US_OLD and press enter

Launch X9 and see if the project settings are changeable. If you still have an issue, remove all versions of Videostudio, X9 included, restart the computer, then reinstall *only* X9. This will clean slate the settings ten fold and leave you only with the X9 configurations to battle with.

I have setup a fresh version of Windows 10 Pro 64bit on this machine yesterday (formatted the system prior to that). There are no older versions on this system.
I also tried to install a codec package (k-lite), which did not help with the profiles. It still tells me I got insufficient memory OR the ULTEMPL.DAT is corrupt.

I am not using a trial version. I entered the key I got for Corel Video Studio X9 Pro through an online marketing campaign from a video magazine.

By 5.1 movie I mean a surround sound project. Thats why I want to setup an AVCHD project. I got m2ts material from a Sony Camcorder, which I have recorded in 5.1.

I will try to uninstall and clean all remains.

Can you try uninstalling using the Cleanup tool attached.

This does leave personal data installed, so you may wish to purge those
Folders here:-
C:\Users\Username\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\19.0
and
%appsdata%
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems

Hi Trevor,

I have uninstalled and also used your cleanup tool. I checked, that there is nothing left on the system, before I installed it again.
When I open the software, go to the project settings and select either HDV, DVD, Bluray or AVCHD, there are no profile available. If I click on "New", it shows this error. I have attached a screenshot of the german version. It says insufficient memory or corrupt ULTEMPL.dat.

I start to think, there can only be something wrong with the installer, they offered for download at the magazine.
Or do you have any other idea, that could fix this? I really would like to use Corel Video Studio X9 Pro ...

I suppose it could be a corrupt download.
There is another poster having some problems, not the same I have to say, to do with Drag and Drop files from windows folders. but installed the German version? I guess coincidental….

My recent download 64 bit Main file, Ultimate folder is
1.07Gb Size on disc 1,157,616,712
589 Files 56 folders

Buts that all I can go on in comparing download files: the German version may be different.
