X8 Multi-trim video issue

Post by psmerdon »

I'm having an issue with multi-trim video.
When editing, sometimes as I'm manually scrubbing thru the video it starts to rapidly scroll all by itself.
I cannot stop it, and have to cancel out of the clip.

I have seen this on two different installs, on my old desktop and my new laptop, so I don't believe a reinstall will help.

Any ideas about how to stop this happening, or how to recover if it happens so I don't lose the edits already made?

Thanks,
Peter Smerdon.

Welcome to the forums!

How fast are you scrubbing? Sometimes if you do it really fast, the program gets ahead of itself, thinking you want to go further than you do, and thus continues on after you have reached the point you were looking for. Usually the "auto" scrubbing will stop before the end of the project. But scrubbing more slowly in the first place may help moderate this action.

Thanks Ken.
I am scrubbing pretty fast.
I'll try slowing down and see how that works out for me.
