Use the task manager to close the error window by using "End Task" on the Videostudio.exe app

then un-install and reinstall videostudio X9

No of course not - none of your "stuff" is actually in Videostudio - it is all just links

if you have set up some libraries which you want to keep you might like to export the library first and import it again when you reinstall - BUT if you don't do that you will still have all your "stuff" - you will just have to relink your libraries again

you might like to make sure any videos you have made are not in any of the Videostudio system folders - just in case

Load from stream error

Information
When launching VideoStudio Pro, a "Load From Stream"error will pop up on the screen, preventing the application from loading. This is due to corruption of the file library for VideoStudio Pro.

Resolution
1.Make sure that Corel® VideoStudio is closed
2.Open the Run command box (press and hold down the Windows and R buttons on the keyboard)
3.Type the following: appdata
4.Press the OK button
5.Open the Roaming Folder
6.Open the Ulead Systems folder
7.Rename the Corel VideoStudio Pro folder to Corel VideoStudio Pro_old

even after all this

I get this now
cannot initialize application no video I/0 plug-in DLL [16800:1:4] [15034:1:11]

The funny thing is video studio x 9 works on my guest account .....go fig

The details there are a little old and refer to 32 bit programs.
You need to re-name this folder for your 64 bit program.

C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)

More details on resetting Video Studio, replace 18.0 with 19.0
