Installation Fail, "Your System was not modified."

Tech Support ticket #: 3700639

Trying to re-install PSP x8.

Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601). This is a new, fresh install of Windows 7 and no other program has given me any problems, nor has

Corel PSP in any version that I can remember not installed before.

Motherboard: Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. M3A78-CM Rev X.0x
Processor: 3.00 gigahertz AMD Phenom II X4 945
Audio: Creative SB Audigy 2 (WDM), VIA High Definition Audio
RAM: 7936 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory
HDD: 2 TB
Video: ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1) [Display adapter]
Video: Acer S240HL [Monitor] (24.0"vis, s/n ETLU50D010511004838516, March 2015)

At first, every time I went to install, it ran two instances of setup when I only right clicked once and said "Run as Administrator" and would tell me to close the other

one.
"Another installation process is running, please shut down the other setup to continue.".

Now, it starts, then up pops a message box, "Your System was not modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again."

Ran CC Cleaner, rebooted multiple times, cleaned all temp, registry cleaned, etc. Closed down Kaspersky which was not interfering anyways.

Originally downloaded the file from the site, then was sent a link by Tech Support to a zip file containing all setup files. Unpacked, tried that. Same exact result.

Immediately after.............progress bar goes across......37%....... nothing more. Setup.exe is not in the task manager.

Been using it since JASC in the early-mid 90s.

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

Some parts of PaintShop Pro X8 SP2 needs .Net Framework 4 (latest is 4.6.1) so check if it is installed.. if you are offline.

Well, thanks. Eventually Corel told me to try that and even THAT did not install. I have installed so many other programs last week or so, so maybe the problem is my system. I have never experienced such a thing as this. They want to remotely work on this issue tonight. I have a .Net v. 4 installed already, but a Client Profile. They wanted a Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer), only I am not sure it is the same as what I already have.

OK. BOOM! It was that I had .Net Framework 4.0 and you need 4.5, which is NOT the link on this site he sent to download. Corel PSP X8 is 100% installed, congratulati9ons, blah blah blah.

Awesome help, thanks a lot. I will let them know what worked for other users to benefit from it.
