"Invalid Serial" Registering the Trial Version [Solved]

Post by Troy at TheGTAMblog »

I just wanted to share an issue I ran into when trying to Register the Trial Version of X8...

After the Trial was up (and after receiving a solution to the one issue I was having with X8 here at this helpful forum :D ), I was satisfied enough to Upgrade from X7. However, when trying to enter in the Serial from the Email I received, it kept saying "Invalid Serial"...

I did a quick Search online and even came here and did one, but could not find any applicable information for this [seemingly simple?] problem - but the solution was easy enough - all I did was:
Uninstall the Trial version and Install the downloadable version that was offered via the Link in the Email after purchasing
That's it!

Perhaps there is an issue with entering the Serial into the "Already Purchased"/"Buy Now" interface that comes up after closing the Trial version; but the "full" downloaded version worked fine (again the version via the Email received after purchasing, in my case, the Disc Version may also work this way) and entering the Serial into that space (which comes up as soon as you start the installation process) resulted in immediate acceptance of the Serial [which was only 'minutes old'] and continued the "full" installation of PSP - and I have been enjoying it ever since...

Hopefully this helps others that run into this issue [of trying to Register via the Trial Version and it doesn't work]
