All of a sudden I can't access VideoStudio X9. See attachment error. How do I fix this? I am running Win 10. No other programs seems to be affected.
Thank you.

Re: Error Message - Entry Point Not Found-UPDATE
PS. Two days ago we had a corruption problem and I had to delete my library and recreate it again. It's been running fine until this happened today.
I do not have the software for X9 it was a download. Thank you.
I found the original download for X9 and reinstalled, but alas, it did not help I still cannot open Videostudio x9. And...I also figured out that the problem was a Visual Studio issue not a Video Studio issue. So I don't now if you can help here because it's only affecting Videostudio, but I am stumped!! Thanks.

Re: Error Message - Entry Point Not Found
Did you do a complete un-install of the previous installation before you re-installed - did you just use the Windows 'programs and features' option or did you run the Videostudio installer package.
after the new installation did you add Service Pack 2 and/or 3
Sounds like something has been corrupted somewhere and a complete uninstall and re-install may be required
I would suggest a complete uninstall using the official clean-up tool which removes all sorts of odds and ends which the windows option leaves behind
download and unzip the attachment and then run the resultant .exe file

Re: Error Message - Entry Point Not Found
Thank you for your suggestions. I downloaded your cleanup tool and did what it prompted me to do. Then reinstalled X9. I got an error message as it was loading and then again the same error message when I initialized the software. See attached.
So....still doesn't work. I am waiting for Dell to call me back this evening. I am thinking we are going to have to do a clean reinstall of the OS. I keep getting error messages when I power down re memory and something else that go by so quickly that I can't even read them.
Nice to have the clean up tool so thank you.
I'll be in touch. Appreciate your help.
PS There was no sign of an available Service Pack update not 2 or 3. See attached.
Any other thoughts on this subject from your end? This problem only seems to be affecting Videostudio x9

Re: Error Message - Entry Point Not Found
I have been working with Dell for two days to fix this problem and they have been unsuccessful. As a last resort they have asked me to install x9 on another computer to see if it installed and ran successfully. It did not!! I am getting the same error messages. Therefore, the Dell rep said that the software download that was given to me for X9 back in Feb when I purchased the upgrade is corrupt. How do I get a good download from them?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: Error Message - Entry Point Not Found
Do you still have the VideoStudio_Installer.exe package which would have been provided to you when you purchased VSX9, if so, run the installer and hopefully, you will be given the opportunity to download again, if not contact Support for advice

Re: Error Message - Entry Point Not Found
Hi
It may be an issue with the Web Installer so you may be best to install manually.
When you downloaded the program folders were saved to your hard drive, by default to the desktop in a Video Studio folder.
Containing
1 / 64 bit folder containing
Ultimate Folder aka Main Program
and
The Bonus Folder – Installs the Prodad stuff etc. (Ultimate version not Pro)
2 / Standard Content completes the main program installation
If you have these folders, save then to a safe location on your pc, burn them to disc for a further backup. Also save details of your serial numbers.
OK
Web Installer
Enter a serial number
Choose to download only, select only the Main Program.
Choose a different save location, create another folder to save the files.
Does that download the Main program?
It may not download if the download period has expired.????
Manual install – close the web installer
Open the 64bit – Ultimate folder and double click Setup.exe to install main program.
Does that install.?
For Standard Content , double click setup_CHD.exe
And Bonus use setup_Bonus.exe
How far do you get with those processes.
good luck

I downloaded the Main program on 29th February, by 26th April the file had been updated to include SP2.
That version appears to be the same as downloading today.
