Hi,
So I tried rendering my video and got a message saying one of the frames was unreadable. I then deleted the clip at which the rendering had stopped and tried again. I then got a message saying another frame was unreadable. I deleted this clip too and re-rendered. This time the rendering was successful.
So I then tried rendering those two clips individually. Both times when I moved the clip into my timeline, it asked to change the project setting to match the video's properties so Videostudio can perform SmartRender (I did not get this message when inserting the clip into my original video). I said yes and both were successful.
Then I tried inserting them back into my video but I got another message saying one of the frames was unreadable. I don't think it was the same number as before. When I checked where the rendering had stopped, it was halfway through the first clip that I had had a problem with. I deleted this clip again and the rendering was successful (so the second clip I had issues with seemed to be fine?)
Could anyone help me with this? I know very little about video editing, so you might need to be a bit patient with me. Thank you so much!
ETA: I tried inserting the successfully rendered video of clip 1 into the video and it still didn't work... I also seem to be getting different unreadable frames each time I render and the video seems to stop at different places. For example, on one occasion it rendered 3/4 of the video, including both problematic clips. Does that mean it's not the clips that are the problem? I would really appreciate any help. Thank you!

Re: Frames unreadable
can you just check for a start in "Settings >> Preferences >> General " that the box against 'show message when inserting first video clip to the timeline' is checked - I think it is and you are getting the match properties error because you did in fact manage some rendering which has changed the videos properties .
did all of your videos in this project come from the same source - it might be a good idea if you told us what we are dealing with - can you put one of your virgin unrendered clips in the timeline - then RIGHT click on it and choose properties - screenshot (or windows snip) that box and post it here as an attachment - are all clips the same ?

Re: Frames unreadable
Thanks for the help but I seemed to figure out! I ended up rendering all the clips separately first and that seemed to sort out the issue. Thanks a lot for all your help! It is much appreciated.BrianCee wrote:can you just check for a start in "Settings >> Preferences >> General " that the box against 'show message when inserting first video clip to the timeline' is checked - I think it is and you are getting the match properties error because you did in fact manage some rendering which has changed the videos properties .

Re: Frames unreadable
Hello, Corel Team and all who are part of this forum, during using my trial version of X9, I am facing the issue, I am getting the same error which is listed up. One thing which convinced me to leave a comment is the time that has passed after raising an issue, it's almost six years. It's is not good for the professional and international forum but it could be compromised if it is the local forum. It's not about me, I am a trial version user but those who pay, deserve better solutions. Sorry if my words hurt anybody. I will make comment again if I found any solution.
