Fit Audio to Video Track: How?

Post by TwoRails »

I just installed VideoStudio Ult X9 yesterday (Sat. 6.11.16). One reason I bought it was that on it's product page, it says:

"... The audio library has hundreds of royalty-free audio tracks and sounds to choose from—they even automatically adjust to fit the length of your movies! ..."

I must be lame as I can't figure out how to do this. I've tried dragging the audio clip from the right with the Right Arrow that shows up. No luck.

I tried entering the length in the Attributes tab but it won't accept a larger number.

I found no option when Right Clicking the audio track.

And I can't even find the "hundreds" of audio tracks.

I looked under Triple Scoop but you have to buy them, and most don't even play (a bug?)!

Hopefully I'm just overlooking something simple...

So how do I get the audio track to fit the clip?

Thanks :)

Running Win 7 64 Pro with onboard Realtek HD audio.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I can shrink the audio clip by dragging the right hand side of it to the left, but, as mentioned, I can't expand the clip by dragging to the right.

My video clips are home movies with lengths from under a minute to just a few minutes, if that helps.

once you have a video in need of music
place the scrubber at the point you want the music to start.
Open auto music, select the music you want
and "ADD TO TIME LINE"

You cannot add just any music to the timeline and make it fit your video - you can only do that by using the "Auto Music" function

to open the auto music panel click on the treble cleff icon above the timeline under the little digital clock of the preview panel - this will open a panel where you can select all types and varieties of music - if you make sure that 'auto trim' is ticked the music will fit your video - or else leave that unticked and choose whatever length you want

'play selected song' will give you a preview of your choice - 'add to timeline' will do just that
