Transitions don't work in VS X9
When I try to put a transition between a video clip and an image or between two video clips, it keeps giving me an error saying that the clips are not long enough to put transitions in. REALLY? I never had that problem in VS6. To begin with, I have an image that I made 10 seconds long and the video is about half an hour. I want to make the Image the starting point of the video with a title on top of it, then have a fade to the video. That seems to me to be about the most basic and simplest that the program should be able to do, but it can't even do that. I think I want my VS6 back.

What have you set the "Default transition effect duration" to in 'Preferences'
Please note that the versions of Videostudio you are using are X9 (19) and X6 (16) - - versions 6 and 9 are very very old

Re: Transitions don't work in VS X9
I have the transition duration set to 4 seconds.
Really? Are you saying that videostudio x9 is very old? I thought it was the latest version. No wonder nothing works in it.

No, that is not what Brian is saying, VS6 and VS9 are very old versions, not VSX6 and VSX9rkstudio wrote:I have the transition duration set to 4 seconds.

Re: Transitions don't work in VS X9
The X is the Roman '10'. This is Corel's 'clever' was of calling the current version 19; while X6 was version 16. So you can see from that that versions 6 and 9 are very old. I started my video editing with VS version 7 (not X7/17) and that was about 12 or 13 years ago...

Re: Transitions don't work in VS X9
OH geez! I guess I better learn the special language of COREL VIDEO STUDIO!!!!!! haha
I thought it was just VS9, meaning Video Studio version 9. Not Video Studio 10 version 9. No wonder Corel makes products with so many bugs.

Re: Transitions don't work in VS X9
I guess I should update my profile here because it says VS9 and not VSX9. I didn't know until now there ever was a VS9.
