Yesterday morning I created a disc image file for Project 1. Later in the day I tried to create a disc image file for Project 2. I got a message that this directory already existed, should I overwrite it. I said "NO" but then nothing would proceed so I said "YES". The whole procedure went through and came up with a message that the operation had been successfully completed. However, when I look in the disc image file, Project 2 image file is nowhere to be found. I am at a loss to explain what might have happened. Some years ago I think I recall that in these circumstances a new image file was created with a numerical suffix e.g. (1).
Am I missing something?

Re: Disc Image Files
So what did you name the new iso file? Did you do a search of your system for all "iso" files"? I assume you looked in the folder where you told the program to store the iso file. You did tell it to overwrite the Project 1 file so obviously there would be no iso file with a suffix created.mwsing wrote:Yesterday morning I created a disc image file for Project 1. Re: Disc Image Files
My lateral thinking seems to be slowing down nowadays. I have just done an iso search and not found it. However, I had not realised that you could specify an alternative location for the file because I have always let the software control this in the past. What does surprise me is that it did not overwrite the iso file for Project 1 that I did earlier. I do not understand either how it went through the whole process and then didn't save the file anywhere. It seems odd! I guess I will just have to go through the whole process again!

Re: Disc Image Files
So you still have the earlier Project 1 iso file?
