Painter Photo Essentials 4

Post by Phil47 »

Well I've looked all over the different subjects and can't find a section for Painter Photo Essentials 4 so decided to post here.
It probably came with bundled with PaintShop Pro when I first bought PSP several years ago.
Anyway, I am running version 4.0.100
Can anyone tell me if that is out of date and do I need a newer version please?
The problem? I can load a photo but when I click on Start the photo disappears but it will not start painting.
It always used to start but not now.
I am running Vista Home Premium.
Any ideas please?
Thanks.
Tell the truth....but gently.

Painter Essentials has it's own forum at- http://painterfactory.com/essentials/

PhotoEssentials is a downsized version of Painter Essentials. Try holding down the Shift key when starting the program as this resets everything to it's defaults and solves many common problems.

Thanks so much - opening and holding down the Shift Key worked perfectly, asking me if I wanted to reset to factory settings, which I did.
Cheers!
