Anybody know what is in Service Pack 3?
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

I can't believe Corel want to charge US$19.99 for each of these tracks!! That's even more than SmartSound charged for their entire discs when you work out the number of tracks... Not to mention why anyone would want them in the first place.

Playing one of them starts -- after about 30 seconds -- playing the music but with a voiceover saying it is a sample track for preview purposes only!!

Again I can only say I am pleased I have SonicFire Pro and my large collection of SmartSound discs...!

And no, I'm afraid there has been no explanation of what else SP3 might have "fixed"....

Hi

We should get info on SP3 once it has been added to the VideoStudio Updates web pages.

I have not installed as yet as I want to test the auto update options.

The file is larger than SP2 so I think it will also include all previous patches, for new installations only SP3 would be required, maybe :?:

SP3 now successfully installed, notice that Corel have now reinstated Triple Scoop Music, however it states "Personal Use Only" does that mean that these tracks cannot be used in videos uploaded to YouTube/Vimeo and the like, if so, what's the point of having them

Change the pitch slightly and it flys.

If you bought and used the music for a video you did and uploaded it to youtube and you are not using it in a commercial venture, you are fine. You can read the EULA. It's when you add it to a wedding video that you are charging for, or anything like that, that they don't allow it.
For "me" personally, I'll stay with Smartsound. I can use it any way I want and it's great, especially if you also own SonicFire Pro.

Now, when is Corel going to offer this as a plugin?

I'm with you on this Tony, will continue using SmartSound
Without a complete reinstall of VSX9, does anybody know how to remove Triple Scoop Music, searched everywhere, but cannot find where Corel have installed it, if you rename the Triple Scoop folder, the original folder is put back put back as soon as VSX9 is launched

Try C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X9\Samples\Audio

Hi Terfyn,

That folder only contains the Corel audio samples, ie: only the audio files shown under Samples in the library, still have been unable to locate where the Triple Scoop Music has been installed

Had same problems as others with the X9-generated demand to do an SP3 update - not feasible.
Tried the link to the SP3 update found on this board and executed. Now X9 will not allow a drag and drop of, for example, .mts (from my camera) or .mp4 (from X9) files in EDIT onto the timeline - error: "Corel Video Studio has stopped working...."
These can both be opened in Win Media Player (i.e. they are not corrupt). But X9 can open .vsp projects.
What to do? Very disappointing SP3 handling by Corel. Is there in fact a real update? Do I have to rebuild X9 from Scratch?

More suspected problems with SP3. I was able to install SP3 directly from VS today. Unfortunately, the preview window would go black from time to time, seemingly at random. I finally saved my current project at that point and uninstalled then reinstalled US without the SP. Now VS won't load the project I saved. Either nothing loads or I get the "Corel video Stuido has stopped working..." error.

Now I've got to go back to last night's last save to continue with my project.

Same problem for me, can no longer drag and drop clip into VS, timeline shows blank screen, then get same error

Hmmm... no problems for me as yet. I can drag and drop a variety of formats into the timeline without any problems. They show correctly in the timeline (Thumbnail only) and play properly both individually in Clip mode and together as a Project.

I notice that you, pdb and bob are all Win 7, whereas my OS is Win 10. Hopefully SP3 has not upset the MS update applecart and fixes for Win 7...???

Actually Ken I am running Windows 10. I don't know for sure if the problem is SP3. I just bought the X9 upgrade May 12th. I haven't been running it long. But, I haven't had the black preview screen problem until after SP3 was installed.

Have reinstalled VSX9 minus SP3 and everything is running smoothly again, just have to ignore SP3 update message

At this time I would not recommend installation of SP3
