VS x9 Ultimate - Wrong instalation of ScoreFitter Volume 3

Post by habanr »

May be you haven't noticed that ScoreFitter library contains more music that VSx9 suggest in it's GUI after installation. Fresh X9 Installation contains midi files from ScoreFitter Volume 1, 2 and 3 (see http://www.pinnaclesys.com/publicsite/u ... refitter1/) but GUI suggest only titles from Volume 1 and 2. It's caused by wrong placement of Volume 3 midi files and xml configuration during installation and VSx9 doesn't see Volume 3 music. The solution is simple move all midi files and one xml file from "c:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X9\ScoreFitter\Scorefitter Content\Songs\Vol3" to "c:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X9\ScoreFitter\Scorefitter Content\Songs". After X9 restart Volume 3 music appears :-)

I've also discovered that description xml files of individual volumes also contain further information about songs as tempo, mood, description. It's really really shame that Corel isn't able to present and use this information in the GUI...

Thanks for that information, however, they are midi files and as such are not very good, those of us with Sonicfire Pro still prefer to use SmartSound with its far superior sound quality.

Did you get the Stingers appear when you did that? I don't seem to have them even after your very useful tip!

Hi Jeff

It is most likely habanr is running CVSX9 not CVSX9.5
The Corel VideoStudio X9.5 Update was released in July 2016.

As far as I know all new purchases after July provided CVSX9.5
